See the hot spots around The Balkans In 60 Days – Stop 1 Prague, Czech

30/7-1/8/2018. The Balkans have always intrigued me. The good, the bad, and the ugly—it has it all. Its history is both beautiful and painful. I look forward to feeling the vibes in the region. So from Kuala Lumpur, I flew into Prague, in the Czech Republic, to start off.

Summer was really here; the heat was quite intense. I dripped sweat drops as big as grapes. Prague was old; well-preserved old buildings were strewn all over the city. I like to live in the present, but dwell on the past. There was so much old charm here.

This weekend, it got busier. My eyes were constantly kept busy, taking in the city’s historic beauties, but I kept yearning for more. How these buildings have been passed down for progeny, despite wars and development, tells of great wisdom and foresight. Now we can all relish beautiful flashbacks of Prague’s past. They just sit tight as the tourists’ dollars pour in.

On the second day, my two legs were again happy to do my bidding. A relaxing stroll while taking in these architectures of bygone years; these artworks were just pure, simple pleasure. They were not just something that meets the eyes, but tell us where and what we were. They tell us we have come a long way. It is soul searching. History has a way of touching us deep down.

I noticed people here were mostly white. On these hot days, the men bared their tops, revealing a penchant for body art. Drunks sprawled on park benches, while beggars solicited help. The dress code here was more casual and careless. It was multi-faceted, less uptight. I liked it.

My legs turned to jelly. But my nose followed the sweet aroma, my ears the beautiful sounds, and my eyes the visual seduction, to catch more. There was much to see. I was insatiable.
